in national and international news: the fact that china has executed their (former) FDA-type guy makes me feel a little bit like i complained to the manager at a restaurant and then witnessed him screaming at and beating the shit out of my waiter.
AND now cnn linkes to "the onion"?? the hell? how am i supposed to chuckle under my breath and feel naughty and subversive reading it when i know that TimeWarner wants me to read it?! i hate them for ruining it for me.

lots of people die in china eating things approved by the FDA-type guy. don't feel too bad (you know, beyond the bad associated with execution as punishment in general). complaining to the manager at a restaurant about a fly in your soup is different than being dead from it.
