i've been looking over my dissertation, and notes i took during my defense, and just yesterday i finally sort of internalized what one of my advisors meant with one of his bits of advice he repeated a few times. it's very good advice for turning the dissertation into a book.
the good news is that it fits in with the fantasy i had for the project from the very beginning, before my treacherous and unsmart former advisor quashed it. the bad news is that it's going to be fucking hard and time consuming to do. onward.
