some useful realizations of late

even if no one likes me or cares what i think at my new job, i still get paid

for a puppy, attention is attention is attention. so it seems a lot more productive, training-wise, to walk out of the room when she's chewing on something she shouldn't, and then gushing when she chews something she should, instead of saying "no," and giving her the right thing.

i may not be the greatest teacher ever? but i feel like i know what i'm doing in a classroom and have the confidence to do it.
