very suspicious

i am feeling, for the first time since the school year started, if not altogether caught up, actually in view of a finish line (if not *the* finish line).  at something of a stopping place.  i'm afraid there's something quite huge i'm missing.  i leave for a conference in two days and i have some house cleaning left to do and lots of tinkering with the prose of my presentation and still i have to pack.  but like i never feel this caught up and i'm so afraid of what i will find any minute now.
