the good news
- i am having a good hair day
- the fire truck in the neighborhood last night appeared only to be picking up furniture from someone (??)
- i have great winter boots
- francis the kitty is SO CUTE
- i have been rejected a million times before for various professional things, so i'm quite used to it
- there's a new episode of "house" on tomorrow night
- there are lots of leftovers in the refrigerator
- tina fey seems to really, truly understand me, joining the ranks of mariska hargitay (hi!)
- the house is clean for at least the next five hours
- with the new term starting right. . . .now, i have one quarter the students i had last term, and one third the classes to teach

we watched the steve martin 30 rock episode last night. damn, that was funny. maybe the rejection was in fact meant for a tracy jordan sex doll. you might want to check.
