oh, duh

nothing irritates me more (well, i guess some things do) than the simultaneous discourses of outrage that there are dangerous consumer goods/practices out there merrily legitimate, i.e., that SOMEONE should have done SOMETHING; and the concomitant railing against government interference or regulation.

and someone on the radio just implied that if the government had to pay for everyone's health care, the government would be more likely to watch out for that health in the form of various industrial dollars and policies. huh.
