that "The Bible" is listed as the top book in my university's facebook network (which, by the way? facebook is a right wing conspiracy) because it's the one book that it is perfectly legitimate to say is of utmost importance to you without knowing the first thing about what is actually in it. students don't read=> students perceive themselves as religious=> religious people refer to a book=> religious people use book to justify whatever suits them=> religious people don't have to read book=> students love book!
