i'm kind of thinking of summer as having peristaltic rhythms, with input and output. i'm trying to use my current overwhelming output to fertilize my later work.
in the meantime, this fall i'm teaching a class about poop. the class is a version of the second writing class. every student has to take it. the spirit in which it was developed was to teach students to write in their own disciplines. for several reasons, i like topical courses and so in the quest for a topic to which everyone might have something to contribute, i hit upon shit.

and i am not the only one with interest in the topic. and but someone, somewhere along the way, has decided that it's really funny to treat a low topic with a high font. or maybe it's not funny? after all, on the first day of class i am planning to wear a suit, which i never do, in order to emphasize the academic treatment we'll be giving good old poop. (a brown suit, i realized too late.) anyway, how about that font, eh?
note: i know the aristocrats isn't *technically* about poop, but it's not technically *not* about poop either, you know?

well... from the person whose career is founded in managing the merde of society at large... i applaud. although to be honest, most of my font stays in the arial/arial narrow range.
i'm glad you're back on poop rather than crowds, since i have claimed crowds as my "thing" (at just the same time that every internet capitalist has done the same...no small irony there). besides, it is the natural progression from our course on food, which - I remind you - we were doing long before it ever played on letterman. poseurs.
cuz o' mine: you know, i was thinking of having you come in and guest lecture. . . .
and topspun: well, howdy! glad to not overcrowd the crowd field. and dude, i need not be reminded! especially since the Chad is writing his own book on the food topic. letterman, here we come.
