i was an assistant professor of English in the ROC. now i am a visiting assistant professor of English in the thinly veiled town of Whitesville, home of a big southern research university.

oh, yeah, you've made it! though i, rejoicing like you, also feel a little like steve martin in "the jerk" when he got his name in the phonebook and ran around yelling, "I'M SOMEBODY!!"
