well,

at the mo, i am trying to manage a career and a long-distance marriage.  so far so good, but it's quite wearing and i feel pretty darn sorry for myself pretty darn often.  however and also, i know almost equal amounts of people getting married, getting divorced, and already regular married and already gay married.  i have also broken up with A LOT of people over the years.  (hi, m.o.p.s.!)  therefore, i am perfectly suited to distribute marital advice.  to wit:

make sure you agree ahead of time on your strategy for if one of you is kidnapped and you need to send emergency codes over the phone while your kidnapper is listening.  also, make sure you know your plan if one of you is imprisoned by, say, robot overlords and the other of you is asked by your robot jailer to perform some sexual act with the robot in order to release the imprisoned member.  this is very important, because you don't want your partner to get released from jail only to be really mad at you for having sex with a robot!!

This sounds like something derived from a fitfully unpleasant yet erotic dream brought on by your situation and by watching too much Battlestar Galactica at once. You should switch to a show with fewer robots, like The Tudors, though that might only change the environs of the jail.

Totally. Also, if you have to get in a card game with the robot overlords to win your freedom, don't forget that they can't bluff. Ha ha! That's right, Mortron! I'm talking about you!

We have the best kidnap phone code ever. I almost hope one of us gets kidnapped just so we can use it.

It will also work if (god forbid) one of us should "cross over" to the other side. When one of those psychic mediums claims to have reached us, we will use this phrase as confirmation.

I love this phrase. And I love that nobody else would ever understand.
