dear readers, you know i cannot guarantee much to you in this life.  but here's one thing i can and do stand behind completely:  if, on the way to work, you listen to (in this order) rihanna's "umbrella," the velvet underground's "what goes on" and george michael's "faith," you will arrive at work in a good mood.  if you can really blast it and sing along very loudly (in approximate syllabic imitation if you don't know the words), that will enhance the effect.  i dare you to try it and tell me i'm wrong!  (you can't.)
