hallowondering

is it more clichéd to dress up like a sexy cat, sexy coffee table, sexy cockroach, etc., or to make fun of all the sexy, sexy costumes? and what the heck kind of repressed society do we live in that people need a holiday to think of themselves as sexual beings? and what the heck does a girl have to do around here, just to find just one gosh darned non-sexy black cloak with a hood??!!!

Well, I found out today that our mutual hairdresser does not celebrate Halloween. So *that's* different!

(And maybe she has a non-sexy cape somewhere? They all seem to be required to wear black, every day, so maybe that's in her wardrobe somewhere.)

Laurie Moore has a great short story about a woman who is stuck at a party with tons of obnoxious "sexy witches." Meanwhile, the narrator is dressed as a naked body, complete with Brillo pad in the crotch area. She realizes she's the opposite of the sexy witches.
