your written instruction sheet told us to do XYZ. however, i felt as though i would rather do ABC. it is wrong for you to penalize me for doing ABC, because that is important to me and i am good at it. when i make the argument that ABC actually is XYZ, it is not your business to point out that i am "not fulfilling the assignment," because it is all totally subjective anyway. who are you to say what is XYZ and what is ABC? you are only one person with a bias, probably liberal, with which you are probably trying to brainwash me, which is why i am going to have to insist on doing ABC and getting a very good grade for it. you do not understand me. i am expressing my true self with my ABC, and you cannot tell me that instead i should do XYZ because that is not who i am. so, even though you have been explaining how to do XYZ all along, i have been planning to do what i always do, which is ABC, and therefore i will turn in ABC and you will reward me for being me.

And another thing! Your policy is prejudicial. That's right -- you're discriminating against people who want to do ABC! You're discriminating against people who want to be rewarded for doing whatever they want to do! Racist!
