Yes, I do have that number. It's 1-800-have-you-checked-the-insulation-in-your-attic-to-make-sure-that-heat-isn't-escaping-in-massive-quantities-thus-forming-these-giant-ice-spikes? Just asking.
sadly, i am well aware that basically my house is like a big radiator. of course, we moved in june so are only finding out now. believe me, it's on the list to fix. (it's a 120-year-old house.)
brings back memories... if my old photos were better organized, i think i could challenge the icicle (not that size matters) from an old house we lived in, in the 'cuse...
i was an assistant professor of English in the ROC. now i am a visiting assistant professor of English in the thinly veiled town of Whitesville, home of a big southern research university.
there are many travails to report in the life of such a person as myself, but you shan't find them here. if you are a student or a colleague, welcome! and never fear; your secrets are safe with me.
i enjoy staring, cooking, complaining, yoga, and the occasional bon mot.
most comments welcome, or email me: E.in.Whitesville at gmail dot com.
