sheesh, i sure do love my friends

my BFF and i went on a road trip to see dear friends from graduate school. they have a wee new baby and the BFF and i wanted to coo at it, as she put it. and while the baby was cute and everything? it's also REALLY NICE and REALLY COMFORTING to hang out with people that you chose to spend a lot of time with during a long and relatively difficult period of your life. for lack of a better way to put it, there ain't nothin' better in this world than feeling understood.
