spring break round-up

one of the best parts of being an academic is spring break. and ack, spring break ended yesterday and brought the stupid time change with it. what joys and sorrows did this spring break bring?

joys:

• headway on a project
• meeting my bff's new little baby
• cleaning the house a bit
• grading a bunch of papers (i've never handed back papers upon return from SB before!)
• beginning of the end of a very bad real estate dream
• hanging out with friends, and meeting their childhood friends (i always love this)
• going to a new and delicious restaurant
• getting new glasses

sorrows:

• having to abandon momentum on that project to turn back to teaching
• house not as thoroughly cleaned as i would have liked
• real estate resolution not ideal
• the occasional hangover

well folks, that's a 8 joys and 4 sorrows! not a bad ratio, not at all.
