for the record

my own personal spouse thinks the below is greatly exaggerated, if not downright misrepresentative.  the class rubbed someone the wrong way, which led to a fairly dramatic episode, but it must be said that a lot of students seem to be doing just fine, thank you very much, and also seem to be evincing actual learning and also good will.  still though, i wouldn't have all four of you reading the blog if i told less dramatic stories, now would i?
